Dunstan High School Offers a complete range of subjects through to Year 13 level.  Students work towards the National Certificate of Educational Achievement.

Dunstan High School prides itself on both the high quality and the diversity of its curriculum delivery.  The school manages to offer a wide range of both academic and vocational subjects.  Students achieve beyond the norm even for schools with our high decile rating and size – and do especially well with the rate of merit grades, and the number of scholarship awards earned. (ERO – 2005)

The school is especially proud of the success rate our students have in completing pathways into employment or chosen higher education programmes.  Dunstan students enjoy unrivalled access to University of Otago Halls of Residence, and are well prepared for the independent learning and living situations they find themselves in once they leave school.

Academic Deans

Each House has its own Academic Dean whose role it is to ensure that students are achieving their own personal best in relation to their chosen course of study.  Academic Deans advise students on appropriate course choices, monitor student progress, and provide assistance when students need support to achieve their goals.
