Special Features
The school is one of very few schools in New Zealand that has its own outdoor education centre. Mt Aspiring Outdoor Education centre is located in the East Matukituki Valley, near Wanaka. For more details on this centre visit the Mt Aspiring Section of this website.

A brand new Performing Arts Centre opened onsite in 2006. Dedicated Drama and Music teaching spaces as well as Music practice rooms.

Outdoor Education
|
Dunstan has a high and low Challenge Ropes Course on the school site. The OE programme also makes regular use of the nearby Molyneux aquatic centre, rock climbing and abseiling, rivercrossing and orienteering sites.

Sports, P.E. & Recreation
|
The school is fortunate to have extensive grounds and courts on-site and to be located close to the major town recreation facilities these include Molyneaux Park Gymnasium and Aquatics Centre indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool, netball/tennis courts, winter sports complex, squash courts, golf course, gym, bmx track/skatepark. A new Gymnaisium and P.E. / Health Teaching complex will open mid 2008.

Library

The library is located in the centre of the school and is the information hub of the school. A wide range of fiction, non-fiction reference books and periodicals make up the collection. Online access is available as well as high speed video conferencing equipment for e-learning. The library is open during lunchtime and after school for students wishing to make use of the resources available.

The Administration Block houses the Main School Office as well as offices for the Senior Executive, School Counsellor, The Staff Room and First Aid Room/Sickbay.

Hirage of Facilities
All of the school facilities are available for hire when not in use by students. This includes evenings, weekends and school holidays.
