NZ Festival of Nature runs from 10 to 19 April. There are over 250 events planned, with plenty on offer for children and families. Most activities are free or low cost.

NatureDome at the Stadium
A fantastic day out for families. Free entry for children, with Suzy Cato attending, a giant inflatable whale, a screening of Happy Feet on the big screen, and much more.
Sunday 12 April, 11am to 4pm

WildRide
A great opportunity for families to get outdoors and enjoy the cycleway. Along the route there will be stops where children can collect stamps, meet scientists, watch a puppet show, take part in yoga, and more. Includes a refreshment stop at Portobello.
Sunday 19 April, 10am to 4pm. Free event.
