The Body Project is an evidence‑based wellbeing programme designed to help young women explore and challenge cultural pressures around body image.
It has been shown internationally to improve body acceptance, mood, and overall wellbeing.
This year, the programme will be offered to students aged 16 and over at our school. Participation involves either a 4‑session small‑group programme delivered online via Zoom or a one‑session alternative that includes four short educational videos about body image and the thin ideal.
Students complete two short online questionnaires about wellbeing, body satisfaction, and lifestyle habits, and no identifying information is collected. Students can also volunteer to take part in interviews following the 4-session group.
Students aged 16 years or over are able to provide their own consent to participate. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school counselling team or the research team.
