I am a local volunteer with 350 Aotearoa, supporting people in our community to enrol to vote in the upcoming general election. We know how busy local families are, and many whānau may not realise that the cut-off date for voter enrolment is coming up on 25 October.
We were hoping you could circulate the brief notice attached to this e-mail to your school community, whether as an addition to your newsletter/pānui, in a community email update, or on your school’s social media page.
This is a completely non-partisan initiative aimed at making voter enrolment simple and accessible for all whānau of the students at your school. It’s also a great reminder for parents to check if their older teenagers (18+) are registered to vote in their very first election!
