Congratulations Jake Henderson, Sky Sanders, Amelia Knowles and Georgia Gillespie.

Jake

Jake Henderson has made the NZ U18 Mounted Games Team, competing at the World Championships in Australia  in October 2023. Congratulations Jake, we look forward to hearing about it and cheering you on.

Group

Sky also competed at the South Island Barrel Racing and Pole Bending Teams Championships in March, with her team winning the South Island teams trophy, where Sky accumulated 76 points out of 80 for her team. She also ran the fastest Pole Bending time in the teams event and the following day in the individual, ran the fastest Barrel Racing time. Congratulations Sky.

Sky 3

Sky is off to the NBHA World Championships in America in 10 weeks time representing NZ in the Teen Division. Sky will be competing against a few thousand riders in her division on a hired horse. We wish her all the best and look forward to hearing about it and cheering you on!

Amelia K

Amelia Knowles Year 10 (right) also placed Reserve Champion in the Junior South Island Individual Barrel Racing and Pole Bending Championships final against 20 junior riders in March. This was based on an average and consistency, fantastic result Amelia! Her team she represented also placed 3rd in the teams championships where she accumulated 63 out of 80 points.

Georgia

Georgia Gillespie (third from right) Year 10 was selected and represented in the Otago Southland Horrors Mounted Games Team.  In term one her team finished 4th out of 7 teams from the South Island.
