South Island Secondary Schools Champs for Rowing
Last weekend, 17 Dunstan High School students participated in the Meridian South Island Secondary Schools Champs for rowing.
There were 49 schools competing at the regatta and 1110 athletes, so it was a very competitive event. Dunstan had 17 crews rowing, and of these crews, 11 made their A final, with nine of these 11 crews placing in the top five. Well done to all of these students.
Medal winners were:
Bronze in the Girls Under 15 coxed quad sculls: Charli Crosbie, Meg King, Bailey Thomas and Milla O’Kane and cox Jimmy Naylor
Silver in the Girls Under 17 coxed quad sculls: Bella Breen, Ruby Smith, Drew Thomas, Charli Crosbie, and cox Milla O’Kane
Gold in the Girls Under 17 double sculls: Bella Breen and Ruby Smith
