You’re invited Te Ara ki te Ao Auaha The Path to the Creative World Career Pathways You Can’t Always Google Location: Wakatipu High School - Date: Wednesday 10 June - Time: 6:15pm - 8:30pm
Thinking about a creative career?
At a time when technology is reshaping how we work, creativity is becoming one of the most valuable skills you can have. This session offers a real look at what creative work actually looks like beyond the stereotypes.
The evening begins with a short film featuring local creatives and the different ways people are building careers across the district.
From there, hear directly from practitioners working across film, design, games, photography, digital and sound. They’ll share how they got started, what their work looks like now, and the pathways that aren’t always obvious.
These are real, honest stories — the unexpected routes, side projects, collaborations and turning points that shape creative careers.
For students A chance to explore what’s possible and where creativity can take you.
For parents and caregivers A clearer understanding of how creative skills connect to real career pathways — across industries that value imagination, storytelling, problem-solving and human insight.
This event is FREE to attend please register your interest by the 27th May with our Arts Coordinator Julie Ruffell, [email protected]
who will email you a registration link.
