This weekend four teams of Central Otago Whitewater paddlers headed to Dunedin to compete in the 2026 South Island Kayak Polo competition. Three of those teams were comprised entirely of Dunstan High School students.

Team A: Otis Battrick, Cooper Lerew, Max Meissel, Maddi Mannix, Taine Liddell.

Team B: Sam Collier, Cohen Anderson, Will Gillespie, Lachie Hawkins, Colter Yule, James Batchelor.

Team C: Maddy Bruce, Kate Robb, Isla Hiscock, Caja Paulin, Fletcher Cordery, Millie Gillespie, Adeline Ball.

All teams competed strongly and gained some hard fought wins against very strong teams. Players displayed awesome teamwork, strength, strategy and skill and should be very proud of how they performed.

We can't wait to see how the Dunstan teams go at the South Island secondary schools competition in Oamaru in August.
