After a long season that was temporarily derailed by Covid, both the Boys A and B teams made their respective finals

. First up was the B Team who punched above their weight throughout the entire season. They were up against the Cavaliers, a rival to Dunstan that has been brewing over the last few years. It was close throughout the game but in a hard fought battle, the B Team came out on top outscoring the Cavaliers 47 points to 39.

After the B Team secured the win and took out the Senior Men’s B Final, it was time for the A Team to play in the Senior Men's A Final. They were facing a mammoth of a task going up against a strong Mike Pero team that they had previously lost to three times during the regular season. Right from the tip-off I could tell that this game was different as the boys were hungry to finally beat Mike Pero and take out the league, something the boys A Team hasn’t done since 2018. With the stellar defensive effort combined with the selfishness of the boys on offense, we were able to hold Mike Pero to just 27 points to our 41 and get the win.

Overall, it was awesome to see both boys teams win their finals and a huge thanks to both the coach of the B Team Darrin Mills and the coach of the A Team Malcolm Creagh for giving up their time to run practices and coach the games, all the boys appreciate it a lot.
