Over 200 people attended the first Dunstan High School Arts Showcase in five years on Thursday the 12th of August in the Alexandra Memorial Theatre.

Students from all disciplines of the Arts were involved in outstanding performances from the kapa haka group, choir, drama devising, dance, jazz band and music solos. There was also a fabulous visual arts and DVC display in the theatre foyer. The Showcase was a wonderful night and it was heartening to hear positive feedback from the community. The show ran smoothly and the variety of performances and visual art was great.

It was amazing to see so many people get involved. A very special thank you to our stage crew who kept the show rolling and to Mrs Sanders and helpers for the visual art display out front! We were so proud to be showcasing the talent we have at Dunstan. It felt amazing to see our very own students perform to a high level and with passion on the stage. We are so grateful for the dedication and time the students and teachers put into the displays and performances.

Thanks to the community for all their support. The local businesses who helped advertise, the families that baked for our canteen and everyone who got involved. An especially big thank you to Mrs Barnes and Mr Meissel and the Arts Committee for their support and help.
