52 riders competed in this event that involved riding on a grass field, on off-camber grass slopes, on a concrete velodrome and a bmx track, as well as dismounting your bike and jumping hurdles, negotiating stairs and a tunnel.

The race was approximately 50 minutes long.

Eddie, who was competing in his first cyclocross race after recently recovering from a broken leg, was placed first Junior Boy and 1st Overall - coming in just over a minute ahead of second place and taking the title of 2022 Otago Cyclocross Champion.
