KAPA HAKA: Session 3 - Waiata and team work - I Te Timatanga

Kia ora koutou, today’s Kapa haka session was full of energy and noise, 32 tamariki were on board the waka today, developing positive relationships and leadership skills. We are getting the actions and words sorted for the school waiata and the tamariki have made fantastic progress.  We have begun learning the game, I Te Timatanga, it's the story of Ranginui and Papatūānuku. This is where Papatūānuku, mother earth and Ranginui, sky father were separated by their tamariki. I Te Timatanga translates as 'in the beginning'

It's a great game for building relationships, developing leadership and incorporating Te Reo.

Pai te mahi - well done!
