Matariki Tāpuapua Celebration
This time last week, we were well underway with the preparations for our first Matariki celebration here at Dunstan High School. And what an evening it was!
While it was cold, the night could not have been more perfect. The skies were clear, the food was delicious and the student performances were awesome. More than that though, the atmosphere was just buzzing! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support the kaupapa of Matariki and share in the celebration of recognising the Māori New Year. Thank you to those who contributed to the evening with time, donations and equipment. Thank you to our students for being wonderful hosts. Tena rawa atu koe! Ngā mihi o Matariki, te tau hou Māori! See you again in 2023!
