SISS Clay Target Championships
SISS Clay Target Championships
The South Island Secondary School Championships for Clay Target were held in Timaru on the first Saturday of the school holidays.

Blair Sutherland, Clay Leckie and Kohen Bryant-Saunders attended along with school shooters from the North and South Island. The shooting was of a high standard and the Dunstan boys did very well. Clay shot a possible 20/20 in Single Rise and went into a shoot off with 13 others. His placing of 11th was decided with a coin toss as it was too dark to complete the shoot off. Both Blair and Kohen only dropped 4 targets in DTL for the day. Great shooting with a lot of the top Secondary School shooters from throughout New Zealand there.

Nightcaps hosted the Interschool shooting on Saturday 24th July. We had 5 shooters attend with Cade Roberts attending his first shoot. With all the boys shooting well, Kohen Bryant-Saunders had the best results for Dunstan High School and Ben Tucker improved, chasing the senior boys with his results. Blair Sutherland was in a shoot off for Single Rise but did not place. Dunstan High School placed 4th in the Scott Shield.
