Unfortunately, we were unable to achieve this and so we have had to cut back to 6 semester courses per half year with a total of 12 semester courses over the year rather than 14.
As a result Year 9 students still have their ‘Arts’, Technology and Language selections but will only have 2 options from their original selections. These options run in the second half of the year and changes can be made to them during the year.
The Year 10 students will have 3 optional subjects rather than 5 and some of these are timetabled in the first half of the year.
Students can see their subjects by logging into the portal and clicking on the attendance tab. You can scroll through the weeks to view subjects in Term 3 or second semester courses. Year 9 students will not have their student portal details yet but the parent portal accesses the same information.
Students in Year 10 who wish to make changes to their option classes will be able to discuss options with their Deans when they return to school. Year 9 students will have plenty of time to make option changes as they do not run until Term 3.
