This day is the first of 3 Teacher Only Days set for all schools by the Ministry of Education, with the purpose of allowing schools to become more familiar with the changes to NCEA that are due to be implemented in 2023. 

The focus for this first day is Mana Ōrite mō te Mātauranga Māori and Strengthening Literacy and Numeracy.

The second day is at the beginning of August and the third at the beginning of December. We will advise you of the exact dates for these nearer the time. 

We understand that these days will cause inconvenience to families and so we wanted to highlight them to enable you to have time to plan ahead.
